Total nonfarm payroll employment in the U.S. increased by 130,000 jobs in January. The unemployment rate changed little at 4.3%.

The labor force participation also changed very little at 62.5% for the month of January. Additionally, average hourly earnings rose by 0.4%, contributing to a 3.7% increase over the past 12 months.
