Total nonfarm payroll employment in the U.S. increased by 228,000 jobs in March. The unemployment rate remained relatively steady at 4.2%, showing just a slight increase. The labor force participation remained at 62.5% for the month of March, maintaining a similar trend since the beginning of the year. Additionally, average hourly earnings rose by 0.3%, contributing to a 3.8% increase over the past 12 months.
