Total nonfarm payroll employment in the U.S. decreased by 92,000 jobs in February. The unemployment rate increased very little to 4.4%.
The labor force participation declined slightly to 62.0% for the month of February. Additionally, average hourly earnings rose by 0.4%, contributing to a 3.8% increase over the past 12 months.
